APPENDIX 4: CRITERIA AND PROCESS GUIDELINES FOR INSPECTION

Pre-requisite

This inspection must be performed by a third-party testing laboratory as indicated by L’OREAL.

The inspection must be performed prior to shipment of any good. 100% of the products must be produced and at least 80% of them must be in their export boxes.

The inspection must be performed in a clean and well-lit place. Suppliers must provide suitable space for the independent laboratory to carry out the inspection (table, help to repackage items…)

The Supplier is encouraged to ask L’OREAL for validation of reference samples which must be delivered in sealed packages to the third-party testing laboratory for the inspection.

The inspection report delivered by the third-party testing laboratory must be available for L’OREAL prior to order despatch.
